Hello, I am Jeanie!  I was born in Kewanee, Illinois and raised in Puyallup, WA where I graduated from Puyallup Senior High School, I went to college to further my education to become an Elementary Teacher and found Malachi & Mason’s Dad instead, we married in 97′ then divorced in 03′. Learned to be a wonderful single mom of two boys until I met my Prince Charming Chad in 2006. Chad was a single father of two, daughter Brittany and son Collin. We married in 2008 and became a blended family of 6. Right after Mason and Collin entered Kindergarten we became pregnant with our daughter, Lily. We are now and forever the C Team: Me, Chad, Malachi (10), Brittany (9), Mason (7), Collin (7) & Lily (1 year). {Updated July ’10}

While dating we lived in Puyallup and right after we married we moved to Gig Harbor, WA. It is here that I became a stay-at-home mom, after lots of prayer and guidance. I quickly began to write for it has always been one of my favorite hobbies. The more I wrote the more my heart for moms grew and my passion to write about it increased daily.

Soccer Mom in Giggle Town is a blog about this stay at home mom finding joy, love & hope in my home ,my backyard, my neighborhood and sharing it with moms next door, across the street & around the world. Being a mom is one of the most difficult and yet one of the most satisfying jobs and it is not even the only thing we do. Most of us our wives, friends, employees, sisters, aunts, some of us are even grandmothers. Soccer Mom in Giggle Town will provide an opportunity to make moms smile, make moms giggle, cause if Mommy ain’t happy NO ONE is happy. Soccer Mom in Giggle Town will provide an opportunity for moms to feel loved and feel special. These pages are sources of things they may fill themselves full like sponges so that they can return to their family, friends & community and share this love with them and still have enough for themselves at the end of the day. Soccer Mom in Giggle Town will provide an opportunity of hope. Hope that they can do this MOM thing and that they do not have to do it alone. Hope that there is purpose and meaning to their roles as a mom, a wife, a friend etc
You will find here giggles, “plays” (our daily life) in pictures, the C Team (family stuff), Time Outs for Mommy (we need them too!), Simple & Scrumptious in the kitchen (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, etc .. ), menu planning (simply) and much more!
My focus is on moms! Whether you are at home or at work makes no difference to me. I want you to know that when I am writing I have you in mind!

You can also find me elsewhere on the World Wide Web I am Gig Harbor Stay-at-Home Moms Examiner on Examiner.com, 24/7 Moms Inspiration Editor on 247moms.com, and I guest post on the Gig Harbor Guide.

I am so glad that you have stopped by today! Feel free to stay and look around for awhile, I have been writing since September 2009 so there are a few good reads here. Plan on coming back over by Subscribing to Soccer Mom in Giggle Town. You know so much about me already, please leave a comment or 2 ( I just love them & I enjoy returning them) and let me know a little about you. You can also e-mail me at jeanie@soccermomingiggletown.com. Share with me your mommy story or your prayers, I would be honored to pray for you and those who are special to you. Thank you again for stopping in and I look forward to your return. Feel free to bring a friend or 2….

Blessings & Giggles to you & yours until then,

I want God to bless this team so much people will talk about what He did. But it means we gotta give Him our best in every area. And if we win, we praise Him. And if we lose, we praise Him. Either way we honor Him with our actions and our attitudes. So I’m askin’ you… What are you living for? I resolve to give God everything I’ve got, then I’ll leave the results up to Him ~ Grant Taylor Facing the Giants

    I couldn’t find a contact page but I wanted to say Hi! I just found your site through SITS and am very excited. As a blended family, mom of 3 boys and writer I can absolutely relate to your family. Also, I was raised in the Seattle area, moved to Eastern Washington and we are moving back up there next month. We’re actually visiting Gig Harbor in about 2 weeks to look at houses. What a coincidence to find your site now. I look forward to digging into some of your posts on the Gig Harbor guide as well. I’d love an email from you with any input you have on school and neighborhoods up there.

    Hope to hear from you soon.
