2 Dec
  • JournalRecord your thoughts to Jesus in writing.  This will be a great account of Jesus working in your life.
  • Draw – Visualize Scripture onto Paper. Choose a verse and create a picture of what this looks like to you. Using the parables of Jesus or some of the descriptive Psalms are a great start.
  • Prayer List – Make a prayer list and pray over it. Brainstorm for 10-15 minutes pray specifically for each of those things.
  • Worship – In song, in dance, in praise! Shout to the Lord! Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.
  • Gratitude Journal –  Just like the prayer list, brainstorm for 10-15 minutes about all that you are grateful for. Thank Him for each of those things.
  • Preparation Time – Is is difficult for you to pray out loud? Is it difficult for you to read scripture out loud? Do you find it hard to talk to someone who is grieving? What is difficult to you? Ask Jesus to help you find ways to do those things you are not comfortable with. Practice them ahead of time. So that when those time occur you will have self- confidence  that you have prepared for these times.
  • Take a Walk with the Lord. Quietly walk around the track or in your neighborhood and have a conversation with Jesus. Do not forget to give Him time to speak to you.
  • Listen to the Word of God – Audio Bibles or podcast of sermons are a great way to hear the Word of God
  • Pray over your Calendar. Thank God for what you have done in the last couple of days and pray over the appointments and the activities you have planned in the next week.

Love this post–especially the suggestion to pray over your calendar. It’s been a while since I’ve kept a Gratitude Journal. I can tell it’s time for me to get back to that!
