Genesis 38

Typical human behavior… When are we going to stop playing games??

Adam & Eve first played the blame game. Now here in Genesis 38 we have Tamar & Judah playing a new game. Tamar is pregnant and Judah was very harsh in his findings. See first and most clearly the sins of another. Bible helps directed me to consider what Jesus’ said in Matthew 7:3-5 –
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

How willing are we to examine ourselves before trying to correct someone else’s wrong behavior?
