Letting Go Exodus 2:1-10

A mothers lap is the best place from which to launch a life. I love that saying. What a great summary of what our role in our children’s life.

Carol Kuykendall author of Learning to Let Go states that letting go is a heart attitude that begins at birth.

Children are a gift from God and they still belong to God. It is our job to feed them, bathe them, educate them, etc…

Letting go means learning early to release our children and applaud each step they take away from us until they stand on their own with God.

1 Samuel 1:27-28 I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD.” And he worshiped the LORD there.

Proverbs 22:6 Train (start) a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

If I can change my perspective of motherhood from taking care of my child to the fact that it is my mission, my God given purpose, how will my daily care of these children change?
